E303 Bus: Union Square to Sharjah Al Jubail — Timings & Fare AED 12

The E303 bus is the busiest of the Dubai–Sharjah intercity routes, connecting Union Bus Station in Deira (older pages call it Union Square Bus Station — it is the same place) with Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. The E303 bus route runs up Al Ittihad Road and Al Wahda Road, past Ansar Mall, Safeer Mall and City Centre Sharjah, and it is the default commute for thousands of Sharjah residents working in Dubai. Buses run from early morning until around midnight, every 15–20 minutes, for a flat AED 12. It is one of the three Al Jubail routes compared in our Dubai to Sharjah bus guide.

Scheduled journey times are about 50 minutes towards Sharjah and 55–60 minutes back to Union — but the Al Ittihad Road corridor is famous for its rush-hour queues. Between 6:30–9:30 AM (towards Dubai) and 4:30–8:30 PM (towards Sharjah), the same trip regularly takes 1 hour 30 minutes or longer. The service runs seven days a week; Friday and public-holiday first buses can start slightly later, so check the S’hail app on the day.

E303 Bus Fare and Payment

The E303 fare is AED 12 for the full route, paid by tapping your Nol card when you board and when you leave. Nol is the only payment accepted — there is no cash option. Keep in mind that Sharjah’s own local buses (Mowasalat) use the Sayer card, not Nol; your Nol card only covers the RTA intercity trip itself. Top up at Union Metro Station, Al Jubail’s ticket facilities, or any Metro station before you travel.

How to Reach Union and Al Jubail Stations

Union Bus Station sits beside Union Metro Station in Deira, the interchange of the Red and Green lines — follow the bus station signs from the Metro concourse and allow a few minutes to reach the correct stand (the E303 uses stand 05 in current planner data; check the departure board on the day). The same station hosts the E400 bus to Ajman and the E700 bus to Fujairah. Al Jubail Bus Station is Sharjah’s central terminal, near the Al Jubail Souq and the Sharjah corniche side of the city centre, with Mowasalat local buses and taxis outside.

Tips for Riding the E303

  • Tap out when you leave the bus — on Dubai–Sharjah routes the fare check is completed at exit.
  • For a faster trip into Deira in the evening peak, the E307 to Deira City Centre sometimes moves quicker than the E303’s Deira stop pattern.
  • Queues at Al Jubail on weekday mornings are long but move fast thanks to the 15–20 minute frequency.
  • No eating or drinking on board; fines apply across all RTA buses.
