Dubai to Sharjah Bus: All Routes, Timings & Fares (E303–E315)

The Dubai to Sharjah bus network is the busiest intercity corridor in the UAE: eight RTA routes (E303, E303A, E304, E306, E307, E307A, E308, E311) run from different corners of Dubai to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah, plus the E315 to Muwaileh. Almost every route costs a flat AED 12 by Nol card. This guide compares all of them — which station each leaves from, first and last buses, frequency and journey time — so you can pick the route that starts closest to you instead of crossing Dubai to reach the wrong terminal.

E303: Union Square to Al Jubail — the Main Route

If you only remember one route, make it the E303 bus. It runs between Union Square Bus Station (directly connected to Union Metro, the Red/Green Line interchange) and Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah, passing through Deira, crossing at Al Garhoud/Al Mamzar side and running up Sharjah’s King Faisal Road and Al Wahda Road corridor in the reverse direction. The fare is a flat AED 12, the scheduled run is about 50–55 minutes, and in peak periods buses leave every 15–20 minutes. Services start at around 5:00–5:30 AM and run until roughly 11:30 PM (later journeys run closer to midnight from the Dubai side on some days). Because Union is also the hub for Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah coaches, this is the default choice for anyone connecting from the Metro.

E307 and E307A: Deira City Centre and Abu Hail

The E307 bus links Deira City Centre Bus Station with Al Jubail. It is the best route from the Port Saeed/Garhoud side and from Dubai Festival City connections. From Deira City Centre, the first bus is at 6:10 AM and the last at 12:20 AM; from Al Jubail, buses run from 5:20 AM to 11:40 PM, with a journey time of about 45 minutes off-peak and a flat AED 12 fare. The E307A bus does the same job from Abu Hail Bus Station (next to Abu Hail Metro, Green Line), serving the Abu Hail and Hor Al Anz catchment — same AED 12 fare, same Al Jubail destination.

E306: Al Ghubaiba to Al Jubail

The E306 bus is the Bur Dubai option, running from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station — the historic terminal near the Dubai Museum and the abra stations — to Al Jubail. It suits travellers from Al Fahidi, Meena Bazaar, Karama and the consulate district. The fare is AED 10–12 depending on the boarding point, making it marginally the cheapest Sharjah route if you board at the short-hop end. Al Ghubaiba is also where the E100 to Abu Dhabi departs, so it is a useful interchange if you are chaining trips.

E304 and E303A: Satwa and Al Sabkha

The E304 runs from Al Satwa Bus Station to Al Jubail for AED 12 — the natural choice from Satwa, Al Jafiliya and Karama, and a short hop from World Trade Centre. The E303A starts at Al Sabkha Bus Station in the Baniyas/Naif heart of Deira and likewise terminates at Al Jubail. Frequencies on these two are lower than the E303’s, so check S’hail before walking to the station.

E308: Stadium to Al Jubail — the Newest Route

The E308 is the newest Dubai–Sharjah route, launched by the RTA on 2 May 2025 between Stadium Bus Station (Al Qusais, beside Stadium Metro on the Green Line) and Al Jubail, at the standard AED 12 one-way fare. It filled a real gap: before it, Al Qusais and Al Nahda residents had to backtrack into Deira to reach a Sharjah bus. If you live in Al Qusais, Al Nahda or Muhaisnah, this is now your default route.

E311: The Airport and Industrial Areas Route (Inside This Guide)

The E311 deserves special attention because it does something none of the other routes do. It starts at Centrepoint Metro station (formerly Al Rashidiya, Red Line terminus — the closest Metro station to Dubai International Airport) and runs down Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Mleiha Road, serving Sharjah’s industrial areas — National Paints, the Maliha Road industrial junctions and Sabah Industries — before continuing via King Faisal Road to Al Jubail. Buses run roughly every 30 minutes and the fare is AED 12. The E311 is the route to know if you are heading from DXB Airport to Sharjah (Metro to Centrepoint, then the bus) or if your destination is a Sharjah industrial-area workplace rather than the city centre. Because it avoids the Al Ittihad Road crawl, it is often the fastest Sharjah bus in the morning peak despite the longer distance.

E315: Etisalat to Muwaileh

Not every Sharjah bus goes to Al Jubail. The E315 bus runs from Etisalat Bus Station in Dubai (Green Line terminus) to Muwaileh in Sharjah — the side of the city near University City, Al Zahia and the Muwaileh Commercial area. It is the right bus for Sharjah university students and Muwaileh residents, and the wrong one if you need Al Jubail or the Rolla area. Departure patterns are thinner than the Al Jubail routes, so check the day’s times in S’hail or at the station before relying on it.

Al Jubail Bus Station: Arriving in Sharjah

Almost every route above terminates at Al Jubail Bus Station, Sharjah’s main intercity terminal near the Rolla/King Faisal Road area. From Al Jubail you can connect to Sharjah’s local Mowasalat buses (paid with the Sayer card), take a Sharjah taxi, or board long-distance services — including the Mwasalat Route 203 coaches to Muscat covered in our Sharjah to Muscat bus guide. If you are continuing to Ajman, note that our Dubai to Ajman bus guide covers the direct E400/E411 instead — you do not need to change at Al Jubail.

Dubai to Sharjah Bus Fare and Nol Card Rules

All of these are RTA buses: Nol card only, no cash. Tap in on boarding and tap out on exit; the intercity fare (AED 12 on most routes) is deducted as a flat charge. Keep at least AED 12 plus your onward journey on the card — a card that cannot cover the fare cannot start the trip. Once inside Sharjah, local buses switch to Sharjah’s Sayer card system, so regular cross-border commuters usually carry both cards.

Step-by-Step: Dubai to Sharjah by Bus

  1. Pick your route from the table above based on your nearest Dubai station (Union, Deira City Centre, Ghubaiba, Satwa, Stadium, Centrepoint or Etisalat).
  2. Top up your Nol card (minimum sensible balance: AED 25 for a return day).
  3. Check today’s departures in the S’hail app — especially on Fridays and public holidays.
  4. Board, tap in, and keep your card handy for inspection; intercity routes are checked.
  5. At Al Jubail, tap out. For onward Sharjah travel, switch to a Sayer-card local bus or a taxi from the rank outside.
  6. Returning, all routes run in reverse from Al Jubail (E315 from Muwaileh); last buses are around 11:30 PM–midnight depending on route — do not leave it to the final departure in peak season.

Rules and Tips

  • Rush hour is brutal: Sharjah → Dubai between 6:00–9:30 AM and Dubai → Sharjah between 4:30–8:30 PM can turn a 40-minute ride into 2+ hours on Al Ittihad Road and Al Wahda Street. The E311 (motorway routing) and Metro-adjacent starting points suffer least.
  • Friday pattern: services thin out around Friday prayer time and build up again in the afternoon; check S’hail rather than assuming the weekday pattern.
  • No eating or drinking on board (RTA fine applies); keep luggage out of the aisle.
  • Taxi comparison: a Dubai–Sharjah taxi typically costs AED 60–100 including the inter-emirate surcharge and the same traffic — the AED 12 bus is the budget choice, the taxi is the door-to-door one.
  • Sharjah Airport: there is no direct Dubai bus to Sharjah Airport; ride any route to Al Jubail and connect to a local bus/taxi from there.
