The Al Jubail Bus Station is Sharjah’s main intercity bus terminal — the one station in the emirate where almost every long-distance bus begins and ends. Run by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), it stands in the Al Jubail district of central Sharjah, right beside Souq Al Jubail and a short walk from the Blue Souq and the Khalid Lagoon corniche. Two different bus families share the terminal: Dubai’s RTA runs its E-route intercity buses here, and SRTA runs its own intercity network to Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and the East Coast — plus the international bus to Muscat. This guide covers every route from Al Jubail, which card each bus takes, the station facilities, and how to reach it.

Dubai Buses from Al Jubail (RTA E-Routes)
Six RTA intercity buses terminate at Al Jubail, each running to a different part of Dubai. They are the station’s busiest services: through the morning peak, a Dubai bus leaves every few minutes. All six charge a flat intercity fare and all six are paid the same way — Nol card only, tap in when you board and tap out when you leave. Cash is not accepted on any RTA bus.
| Route | Dubai terminal | Fare | Frequency (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| E303 | Union Square, Deira | AED 12 | Every 15–20 min |
| E304 | Satwa Bus Station | AED 12 | Every ~30 min |
| E306 | Al Ghubaiba, Bur Dubai | AED 10–12 | Every 20–30 min |
| E307 | Deira City Centre | AED 12 | Every 15–30 min |
| E307A | Abu Hail (Metro Green Line) | AED 12 | Every 20–30 min |
| E308 | Stadium Bus Station | AED 12 | Every ~30 min |
Choose by your Dubai destination. The E303 bus to Union Square is the most frequent and connects to both Metro lines. The E306 bus suits Bur Dubai and Al Ghubaiba, the E304 bus is the only one for Satwa and Karama, and the E307 and E307A serve Deira — the E307A stops right at Abu Hail Metro station. The newest route, the E308 bus runs to Stadium station via Al Nahda and Al Qusais. One route that does not come to Al Jubail is the E315: it terminates at Muweilah in Sharjah, near University City, instead.
All six routes leave Al Jubail along King Faisal Road and Al Wahda Road, passing the Jumbo (Sony), City Centre and Al Wahda Centre stops and the Ittihad Road malls before crossing into Dubai — so if you live along that corridor, you may not need to come to the terminal at all. Full stop lists and timetables for each route are in the individual route guides linked above.
Intercity Buses from Al Jubail (SRTA)
SRTA’s own intercity network fans out from Al Jubail to the rest of the UAE — and beyond, to Oman. Departure bays at the terminal are organised by destination, so head for the bay signed with your city and check the board before you board. Payment on these buses is completely different from the Dubai buses: SRTA buses take the Sayer card (Sharjah’s own smart card) or cash. Your Nol card will not work on them.
| Route | Destination | Fare | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 114 & 112 | Ajman (Al Musallah) | AED 6 | Frequent, short hop — the cheapest intercity ride from Al Jubail |
| 117 | Abu Dhabi Central | AED 30 | Direct bus to the capital; no change in Dubai needed |
| 115 | Ras Al Khaimah | AED 27 | Via Ajman and Al Hamra |
| 116 | Fujairah & Khor Fakkan | AED 30 | Hourly East Coast service via Masafi and Al Dhaid |
| 118 | Al Ain | AED 33 | About 2 hours 45 minutes; the only direct Sharjah–Al Ain bus |
| 611 & 616 | Kalba | About AED 21–30 | 611 is the main service; 616 runs a few trips a day |
| 203 (Mwasalat) | Muscat, Oman | OMR 10 | International bus to Azaiba, Muscat — about 8 hours; book ahead and carry your passport |
Route-by-route detail lives in our pair guides: Sharjah to Ajman bus (routes 114 and 112), the Abu Dhabi to Sharjah bus guide for the 117, Sharjah to Ras Al Khaimah bus for the 115, Sharjah to Fujairah bus for the 116 and 611, Sharjah to Al Ain bus for the 118, and Sharjah to Muscat bus for the 203. Fares on SRTA routes can change, and cash fares can differ slightly from Sayer card fares on some routes — keep small notes handy if you are paying cash.
How to Reach Al Jubail Bus Station
The station sits in the heart of old Sharjah. Souq Al Jubail — the big market hall famous for its fish market, meat and produce halls — is immediately next door, and the Blue Souq (Sharjah Central Souq) and the Khalid Lagoon corniche are a few minutes’ walk away. King Faisal Road, the main road the Dubai buses use, runs just south of the terminal.
By Sharjah city bus: Al Jubail is also a hub for SRTA’s city network (Mowasalat), with local routes starting here for districts across Sharjah — including services towards Sahara Centre, Muwaileh and University City, and the route 99 to Sharjah International Airport. If you are coming from anywhere in Sharjah city, a city bus or a short taxi ride to Al Jubail is usually the simplest start to an intercity trip.
By taxi: Taxis wait outside the terminal and can drop you at the entrance from anywhere in Sharjah. From Dubai, a taxi to Al Jubail costs far more than the bus, but the E-routes above land at the same doors.
From Dubai: Take any of the six RTA E-routes — they all terminate inside Al Jubail. There is no Metro station in Sharjah; the practical rail connections are the Dubai Metro stations at the other end of the E-routes (Union, Al Ghubaiba, Abu Hail, Stadium), so plan the Sharjah side of your journey by bus or taxi.

Facilities and Tickets at Al Jubail
Al Jubail is a full-service terminal rather than a simple bus stop. Inside you will find ticket counters and staff who can confirm the day’s departures, a waiting area, restrooms, and departure boards showing the bays by destination. This is the place to buy or top up a Sayer card before an SRTA trip — ask at the counter if you do not already have one. For RTA Dubai buses there is nothing to buy at the station: you simply tap your Nol card on the bus, so make sure it is topped up before you arrive (there is no Dubai Metro station in Sharjah to top up at).
For food and supplies, Souq Al Jubail next door has market stalls, cafés and small shops, and the Blue Souq’s hundreds of shops are within walking distance — useful if you have time to kill between buses. Taxis queue outside the terminal, and the corniche makes the walk to the Rolla and Al Majaz side of the city centre a pleasant one outside the summer heat.

Tips for Using Al Jubail Bus Station
- Carry the right card for the right bus: Nol for the six Dubai E-routes, Sayer card or cash for every SRTA bus. Neither card works on the other operator’s buses — this is the single most common mistake at Al Jubail.
- Board at the terminal for a seat: Dubai buses fill up quickly in the morning peak, and the King Faisal Road and Al Wahda Road stops can be left with standing room only. Starting at Al Jubail guarantees a seat.
- Check your bay by destination: Departures are grouped by city — Dubai, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Muscat. Read the destination board on the bus itself before boarding, as several routes share corridors.
- Book the Muscat bus ahead: The Mwasalat 203 is a once-a-day-style international service with a morning departure. Buy your ticket in advance, arrive early, and carry your passport and any Oman visa documents.
- Mind the last buses: Most routes wind down around 11:00–11:30 PM. After that, a taxi is the only option — Sharjah has no night bus network.
- Use the right app for the right bus: RTA’s S’hail app shows live Dubai E-route departures; for SRTA services, check srta.gov.ae or call 600 525252.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Al Jubail Bus Station located?
It is in the Al Jubail district of central Sharjah, immediately beside Souq Al Jubail and close to the Blue Souq, the Khalid Lagoon corniche and King Faisal Road. It is Sharjah’s main intercity terminal, run by SRTA.
Which buses go from Al Jubail to Dubai?
Six RTA buses: the E303 to Union Square, E304 to Satwa, E306 to Al Ghubaiba, E307 to Deira City Centre, E307A to Abu Hail and E308 to Stadium. All cost about AED 12, run from early morning to late evening, and are compared in our Dubai to Sharjah bus guide.
Can I pay with a Nol card on Sharjah buses from Al Jubail?
Only on the RTA Dubai buses. SRTA’s own buses — to Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Kalba — do not accept Nol. On those you pay with Sharjah’s Sayer card or cash. You need the right card for each operator.
Is there a bus from Al Jubail to Abu Dhabi?
Yes. SRTA route 117 runs direct from Al Jubail to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station for AED 30, so you do not need to travel via Dubai. Sayer card or cash is accepted; Nol is not.
Is there a bus from Al Jubail to Muscat?
Yes. The Mwasalat route 203 runs from Al Jubail to Azaiba in Muscat, Oman, for OMR 10, taking about 8 hours via the Khatmat Malaha border. It leaves in the morning, so book your ticket in advance and carry your passport and visa documents.
How do I get from Al Jubail to Ajman?
Take SRTA route 114 or 112 from Al Jubail to Al Musallah in Ajman. The fare is AED 6 one way, buses are frequent through the day, and you can pay by Sayer card or cash.
Does the E315 bus stop at Al Jubail?
No. The E315 runs between Etisalat in Dubai and Muweilah Bus Terminal in Sharjah — it does not serve Al Jubail. For Al Jubail, use one of the six other Dubai E-routes (E303, E304, E306, E307, E307A or E308).
What time is the first and last bus from Al Jubail?
It depends on the route, but the station wakes up early: the first Dubai and intercity departures leave around 5:00–5:30 AM, and the last buses on the main routes leave around 11:00–11:30 PM. The Muscat bus is a morning departure. Check your route’s own timetable — or the S’hail app for RTA buses and SRTA on 600 525252 — before travelling.
