Etisalat Bus Station is the RTA bus interchange in Al Qusais, in the north-east of Dubai, built directly beside Etisalat Metro Station — the terminus of the Metro Green Line. Most Dubai bus stations only feed their local district; this one does three jobs at once. It is a Metro interchange for Al Qusais, Al Nahda and Muhaisnah, a feeder hub for the housing around it, and — unusually — the departure point for three intercity E-routes: the E315 to Sharjah, the E411 to Ajman and the E700 to Fujairah. If you live on the Sharjah-border side of Dubai, this station is probably your cheapest way out of the city.
This guide covers the station itself: the three intercity buses and how to choose between them, the city and feeder routes, how the Metro interchange works, where to buy and top up a Nol card, and the mistakes to avoid — including the outdated guides that still send Fujairah passengers to Union Square. Full timetables live in the linked route guides; here we keep timings to the summaries you need to pick the right stand.

Intercity Buses from Etisalat Bus Station
E315: the Sharjah bus
The E315 bus is the station’s busiest intercity service: a direct link to Al Muwailah Bus Terminal in Sharjah, near University City. Buses run every 30 minutes, from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday to Saturday, and the fare is a flat AED 12 by Nol card. There are only two intermediate stops — Sharjah’s Hala Building and Madina Shopping Centre — so the run takes about 40 minutes outside the peaks. Two things catch people out. First, the Sunday service starts late, at 10:00 AM. Second, the E315 does not go to Sharjah city centre or Al Jubail Bus Station: Muweilah is the terminal for the University City side of Sharjah, and our Muweilah Bus Station guide covers what connects from there. For Al Jubail, you need a bus from Deira City Centre or Abu Hail instead.
E411: the Ajman bus
The E411 bus runs from Etisalat to Al Musalla Bus Station in Ajman, Ajman’s main intercity terminal, with just six stops on the way — including Thumbay Hospital, Crown Palace Hotel and Lulu Hypermarket in Ajman. It is a slower rhythm than the E315: departures are roughly hourly, the first bus leaves at 6:00 AM Monday to Saturday (10:00 AM on Sundays), the last bus from Etisalat is around 9:00 PM, and the journey takes about 50 minutes in normal traffic. The fare is again a flat AED 12 by Nol. Do not confuse it with the E400: that is Ajman’s other Dubai bus, and it leaves from Union Square in Deira, not from here. Choose the E411 if you are starting from the Green Line or the Al Qusais side; choose the E400 if you are starting from Deira.
E700: the Fujairah bus
The E700 is the only direct public bus between Dubai and Fujairah — and the one most likely to send you to the wrong station if you follow an old guide. The E700 used to leave from Union Square, but it moved to Etisalat Bus Station on 30 August 2024, and the fare is now AED 30 by Nol card. Websites still showing “Union Square, AED 25” are out of date. From Etisalat the coach crosses the Hajar mountains via Dhaid and Masafi to Fujairah Bus Station, a journey of roughly 2 hours. Unlike the Sharjah and Ajman buses, this is a handful of departures a day rather than a turn-up-and-go service, so check the day’s times in the S’hail app before you travel and build your plans around them. In Fujairah, local buses do not take Nol, so carry some cash for onward trips to places like Kalba or Khor Fakkan.
City and Feeder Buses from Etisalat
Between the intercity coaches, the station is the local hub for the Al Qusais side of Dubai. The RTA city and feeder routes using the station are:
| Route | Goes to | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| 31 | Airport Terminal 2 ↔ Oud Al Mateena | The airport-side link across Al Qusais and Al Mizhar |
| 34 | Al Khawaneej 2 | The Khawaneej residential districts |
| 36A | Dubai Silicon Oasis | The long south-east run to Silicon Oasis |
| 36B | Dubai Silicon Oasis | The second Silicon Oasis variant from the station |
| 367 | International City (Dragon Mart) | International City and the Dragon Mart shopping area |
| F02 | Muhaisnah 4 | Metro feeder for the Muhaisnah housing |
| F07 | Al Qusais DM Housing | Metro feeder for the Al Qusais housing blocks |
All of these are standard RTA city buses: pay by tapping your Nol card in and out, at normal Dubai zone fares (AED 3 within one zone, AED 5 across two zones, AED 7.50 across three or more). The two feeders, F02 and F07, exist mainly to connect the housing around Al Qusais and Muhaisnah to the Green Line — if you live in those blocks, they are your first and last mile.
The Metro Connection: Green Line Terminus
The bus station only makes sense alongside the station it serves. Etisalat Metro Station is the terminus of the Green Line: every train from here runs the length of the line through Al Qiyadah and Stadium, across to Union and BurJuman (the two Red Line interchanges), then on through Oud Metha and Al Jadaf to Creek. That is what turns three intercity buses into a network — a passenger from Muweilah, Ajman or Fujairah can step off the coach and be in Deira or Bur Dubai without another change.
One naming quirk to know: the Metro station has been rebranded twice following the telecom company’s own rebrand — first to “Etisalat by e&” in February 2023, and then simply to “e&” in September 2024. Maps, announcements and the station signage now say e&, but the bus station next door kept the name Etisalat Bus Station, and so does almost everyone who uses it. They are the same place. The Metro station also has a large free park-and-ride car park (around 2,300 spaces), which makes this the natural drive-to point for commuters from the Sharjah-border districts.
How to Reach Etisalat Bus Station
By Metro: this is the way most people arrive. Ride the Green Line to its terminus — Etisalat (e&) — and follow the signs for buses as you exit; the departure stands are directly beside the station. Coming from the Red Line, change at Union or BurJuman.
By bus: the city routes in the table above all serve the station, and the F02 and F07 feeders loop through the surrounding housing. If you are coming from Sharjah, Ajman or Fujairah, of course, the intercity buses bring you straight here.
By car or taxi: the station sits just off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in Al Qusais, which is why the intercity buses can leave the city without crossing central Dubai. Taxis know it as “Etisalat Metro Station” or “Etisalat Bus Station”. Drivers use the Metro station’s free park-and-ride car park and walk across to the stands.

Facilities and Tickets
The station is an open-air RTA interchange organised into numbered departure stands, each signed by route and destination. With three intercity routes plus seven city routes sharing the site, check the stand number for your route on the sign or in the S’hail app rather than joining the first queue you see — the E315 and E411 stands in particular fill with similar-looking crowds at the evening peak, and they go to different emirates.
For tickets, everything runs through the Metro station. Nol cards are sold and topped up at Etisalat Metro Station — ticket office and vending machines — and you need the full intercity fare on your card before boarding: AED 12 for Sharjah or Ajman, AED 30 for Fujairah. The fare is deducted when you tap in, and there is no cash fallback on any RTA bus, so a card that is a few dirhams short means a trip back to the machines while your bus leaves. Everything else — toilets, seating, shops and air-conditioning — is inside the Metro station rather than the bus station itself. RTA‘s helpline is 800 90 90, and live departures for every route at the station are in the S’hail app.

Tips for Using Etisalat Bus Station
- Pick the right bus for the right emirate: E315 for Sharjah’s University City side (Muweilah), E411 for Ajman, E700 for Fujairah. The E315 does not serve Al Jubail or central Sharjah, and the E411 is not the Union Square bus — that is the E400.
- Ignore any guide sending the E700 from Union Square. The Fujairah bus moved to Etisalat on 30 August 2024 and costs AED 30, not AED 25. Older pages — and some current ones — still show the old terminal and fare.
- The E700 is a plan-around-it service. With only a few departures a day, check the timetable in S’hail before leaving home and arrive early; missing one can mean a wait of hours, not minutes.
- Mind the Sunday late start: both the E315 and the E411 start at 10:00 AM on Sundays. For an early Sunday trip to Sharjah or Ajman, you will need a different routing or a taxi.
- Top up before you queue. A Nol card under AED 30 is rejected at the E700 reader and there is no way to pay on board; top up at the Metro station first, and keep a buffer for the return journey.
- Beat the evening border peak: Sharjah-bound E315 queues build from the late afternoon, and the border roads slow the run well beyond its scheduled 40 minutes. Board at the station rather than an intermediate stop if you need a seat.
Where is Etisalat Bus Station located?
In Al Qusais, in north-east Dubai, directly beside Etisalat Metro Station — the Green Line terminus, now branded e& — and just off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). The position near the Sharjah border is deliberate: the intercity buses from here reach Sharjah, Ajman and the Fujairah road without crossing central Dubai.
Which intercity buses leave from Etisalat Bus Station?
Three: the E315 to Al Muwailah in Sharjah (every 30 minutes, AED 12), the E411 to Al Musalla in Ajman (roughly hourly, AED 12) and the E700 to Fujairah (a few departures a day, AED 30). All three are RTA services paid by Nol card. No Abu Dhabi bus leaves from here — for Abu Dhabi, use the E100, E101 or E102 from Al Ghubaiba, Ibn Battuta or Al Jafiliya.
Is there a bus from Etisalat to Fujairah?
Yes — the E700, the only direct Dubai–Fujairah bus. It moved here from Union Square on 30 August 2024 and now costs AED 30 by Nol card, taking roughly 2 hours via Dhaid and Masafi. Guides still showing Union Square departures at AED 25 are out of date. Departures are limited to a few a day, so check S’hail before travelling.
How do I get from Etisalat Bus Station to Sharjah?
Take the E315 to Al Muwailah Bus Terminal, near University City — buses every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM (10:00 AM on Sundays), AED 12 by Nol, about 40 minutes. Be aware the E315 does not go to Al Jubail or Sharjah city centre; for those, ride the Green Line into Deira and use the E307 or E307A from Deira City Centre or Abu Hail instead.
What is the nearest Metro station to Etisalat Bus Station?
Etisalat Metro Station itself — the bus station is directly beside it, so the interchange is a short signed walk. The station is the Green Line terminus (shown as “e&” on current signage) and connects to the Red Line at Union and BurJuman.
Can I buy a Nol card at Etisalat Bus Station?
Yes — Nol cards are sold and topped up at Etisalat Metro Station next door, at the ticket office and from vending machines. You need one before boarding any bus here, with at least AED 12 of balance for the Sharjah and Ajman routes and AED 30 for the E700 to Fujairah.
What time is the first bus from Etisalat Bus Station?
The first intercity departure is the E315 to Sharjah at 5:00 AM, Monday to Saturday; the E411 to Ajman starts at 6:00 AM. Both start later on Sundays, at 10:00 AM. City and feeder buses broadly follow Metro hours — check the S’hail app for the first departure on your exact route and day.
Does the E400 to Ajman leave from Etisalat?
No. The E400 leaves from Union Square Bus Station in Deira. Etisalat’s Ajman bus is the E411 to Al Musalla. Some guides also wrongly list the E307 and E307A Sharjah buses as leaving from Etisalat — they actually depart from Deira City Centre and Abu Hail. If a guide gives Etisalat more intercity routes than the E315, E411 and E700, it is wrong.
