Dibba Bus Station is a set of roadside stops in Dibba Al Fujairah town centre on the E99 coast road, not a terminal building

Dibba Bus Station: Routes, Timings & Fares

Search for Dibba Bus Station and you will find plenty of confident websites — and a shortage of hard facts. So here is the honest picture first: Dibba Al Fujairah, the second-largest town in the emirate of Fujairah, has no intercity bus terminal. Buses serve Dibba through stops in the town centre, the only scheduled intercity bus anywhere near Dibba is Sharjah’s SRTA 116 at Khor Fakkan, and no public bus runs direct from Dibba to Dubai or Sharjah — whatever some websites claim. What it has is a local bus link towards Fujairah city and the taxis most people actually use. This guide separates what is verified from what is merely repeated online.

For the emirate’s real terminal, see our Fujairah Bus Station guide. For the Sharjah end of the 116, see Al Jubail Bus Station and our Sharjah to Fujairah bus guide.

Three Towns Called Dibba — Which One Do Buses Serve?

Dibba is not one town but three, side by side, and the distinction matters for buses. Dibba Al Fujairah is the largest part, belongs to the emirate of Fujairah, and is the Dibba this page covers. Next door, Dibba Al Hisn is an exclave of Sharjah: same streets, different emirate. Across the border fence, Dibba Al Baya is in O’man’s Musandam governorate — no UAE bus crosses into it. When a listing simply says “Dibba”, check which of the three it means: a stop in Dibba Al Hisn can be a short walk from one in Dibba Al Fujairah yet sit in a different transport network.

Is There a Bus Station in Dibba?

Not in the way the name suggests: no terminal building with bays, a ticket hall and departure boards. What exists is a set of stops in the town centre on the main coast road, where FTC buses pick up and set down, and taxis wait. Some map apps pin a “Dibba Bus Station” label on those stops, but arrive expecting a station building and you will be disappointed. Treat Dibba as a town served by bus stops, confirm your pick-up point locally, and build journeys around Khor Fakkan and Fujairah city, the nearest real stations.

Fujairah City Bus: the Fujairah Transport Corporation Link

The one bus service documented as running into Dibba itself is the Fujairah Transport Corporation (FTC) bus. Reporting in The National described the emirate’s internal public bus running between Fujairah city and Dibba: departing hourly from a stop near Fujairah city’s Lulu Centre, calling at Mirbah, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn on its way up the coast. A resident quoted in the same report paid AED 20 for the Fujairah–Dibba ride, against around AED 150 for the same trip by taxi.

Two cautions, stated plainly. First, that reporting is not new, and the corporation publishes no timetable online that we could check — its website was unreachable while this guide was researched, and current journey planners do not show a direct Fujairah–Dibba bus at all. Second, the coast road it uses (the E99) means the full run takes well over an hour. So: the FTC bus is the cheapest way between Fujairah city and Dibba if it is running on the day — confirm at the Fujairah Bus Station counter before you rely on it, and keep the Khor Fakkan routing below as your fallback. FTC buses are paid for in cash on board.

SRTA 116 and Khor Fakkan: the Reliable Bus Link

The dependable, published bus in this story never actually reaches Dibba — it stops about 25 km short, which is close enough to build a journey on. Sharjah’ SRTA route 116 runs between Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah and Khor Fakkan, calling at Fujairah Bus Station. Khor Fakkan’s station is the 116’s northern terminus and the closest thing Dibba has to an intercity station: a taxi covers the roughly 25 km to Dibba in about half an hour.

The 116 is a frequent, all-day service: buses run from around 5:30 AM to around 11:00 PM, roughly every 30–60 minutes, and the through fare between Fujairah and Al Jubail is AED 30. Full stop lists are in our Sharjah to Fujairah bus guide. Note that the 116 does not continue from Khor Fakkan into Dibba — any site showing it (or an “E701”) running to Dibba is wrong; see the FAQ below.

Dibba to Sharjah and Dubai by Bus

There is no direct bus from Dibba to Sharjah city or Dubai. Two chains work:

Via Khor Fakkan and Al Jubail (best for Sharjah and Dubai): Taxi from Dibba to Khor Fakkan Bus Station, then the SRTA 116 to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah — about 2.5 hours from Khor Fakkan. From Al Jubail, onward buses into Dubai (for Union Square and Al Ghubaiba) complete the trip. Allow around 4 hours or more, door to door, from Dibba to Dubai.

Via Fujairah city and the E700 (best for Dubai only): Get to Fujairah city first — the FTC bus if it is running, otherwise a taxi — then take the RTA E700 from Fujairah Bus Station to Etisalat Bus Station in Dubai, about 2 hours, AED 30, Nol card only. Allow roughly 3.5–4 hours from Dibba, and do not cut the Fujairah connection fine: the E700 runs several times a day, not every few minutes.

What you will not find is a scheduled public bus from Dubai straight to Dibba. The “Dubai to Dibba buses” sold online are private day-tour coaches to the Musandam dhow cruises, with hotel pick-ups arranged by the tour company — day-trip products, not public transport, and no use for a one-way trip.

Taxis in Dibba

For most trips in and around Dibba, the taxi is the transport system. Fujairah’s taxis are regulated by the Fujairah Transport Corporation, and they handle everything the bus does not: the hop from Khor Fakkan station, trips down the coast to the Al Aqah beach resorts and Dibba Rock, and the full run to Fujairah city (about 66 km, roughly an hour, expect around AED 150). Within town, Dibba is compact and short hops are cheap. Travellers also report shared taxis for Fujairah city near the main stops; they leave when full and cost less per seat, but are informal — agree the price first, and do not rely on one if you have a connection to catch. One boundary to respect: a UAE taxi can take you into Dibba Al Hisn next door, but crossing into Oman’s Dibba Al Baya is a border formality, not a taxi ride.

How to Reach Dibba

By car: Two roads reach Dibba. The E99 coast road runs north from Fujairah city through Mirbah and Khor Fakkan — about 66 km, the bus and taxi route. The E89 comes over from Masafi, the approach from Dubai and Sharjah. Dibba itself is small enough to cross on foot.

From the beach resorts: The Al Aqah resort strip lies south of Dibba town, and some hotels run guest shuttles to Fujairah city and Dubai on set days — ask at reception before paying for a long taxi.

Facilities and Tickets in Dibba

Keep expectations in line with a small coastal town. There is no ticket office, waiting hall or departure board in Dibba: you board at roadside stops and pay the driver. Cash is the payment method for the FTC bus and for taxis. Your Nol card is no use in Dibba — it only comes into play if your journey reaches the RTA E700 at Fujairah city. On the SRTA 116 you pay by Sharjah’s Sayer card or cash. Carry small notes — drivers on rural routes cannot always break a AED 100 note. For the day’s local bus position, the corporation’s desk at Fujairah Bus Station is the most reliable source we found.

Tips for Using Buses in Dibba

  • Plan around Khor Fakkan, not Dibba: Khor Fakkan Bus Station is the nearest reliable, published bus service. Build every Dibba journey as “bus to Khor Fakkan + taxi” and treat anything better as a bonus.
  • Confirm the FTC bus before relying on it: The Fujairah–Dibba bus has been documented running hourly via Mirbah and Khor Fakkan at around AED 20 — but the operator publishes no online timetable, so verify at Fujairah Bus Station on the day.
  • Ignore invented route numbers: Websites listing an “E701” from Fujairah to Dibba (or an “E703” to Kalba) do not match SRTA’s published network (the 116, 611 and 616). There is no E701.
  • Carry cash, and small notes: Local buses and taxis in Dibba are cash-only in practice; there is no Nol or Sayer infrastructure in town.
  • Know which Dibba you are in: Dibba Al Fujairah, Dibba Al Hisn (Sharjah) and Dibba Al Baya (Oman) sit side by side. A driver can cross between the first two freely; the Omani part is an international border.
  • Allow generous connection times: Dibba journeys chain a taxi and one or two buses, and the coast road slows in rain. For a Dubai trip, take the earlier option at every step.

Is there a bus station in Dibba Al Fujairah?

There is no bus terminal building — no bays, ticket hall or departure boards. Buses use roadside stops in the town centre, which some map apps label “Dibba Bus Station”. The nearest real bus stations are Khor Fakkan (about 25 km south) and Fujairah Bus Station (about 66 km).

Is there a direct bus from Dibba to Dubai?

No. No public bus runs from Dibba to Dubai, whatever tour websites suggest — the “Dubai to Dibba buses” online are private Musandam dhow-tour coaches. By public transport, go via Khor Fakkan and Al Jubail in Sharjah, or via Fujairah city and the E700 to Etisalat. Allow around 4 hours either way.

How do I get from Dibba to Fujairah city by bus?

The Fujairah Transport Corporation’s internal bus has been documented running from Dibba down the coast road via Dibba Al Hisn, Khor Fakkan and Mirbah to Fujairah city — but the operator publishes no timetable online, so confirm it is running at Fujairah Bus Station. The guaranteed alternative is a taxi to Khor Fakkan, then SRTA 116 into Fujairah Bus Station (about 35 minutes).

How do I get from Fujairah city to Dibba?

Three options. The FTC bus from the stop near the Lulu Centre, if running (documented as hourly, around AED 20, via Mirbah, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn). The SRTA 116 from Fujairah Bus Station to Khor Fakkan, then a taxi for the last 25 km. Or a taxi the whole way — about 66 km, roughly an hour, expect around AED 150.

Is there a bus from Dibba to Sharjah?

Not direct. Ride a taxi from Dibba to Khor Fakkan Bus Station and take SRTA route 116 to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah — about 2.5 hours from Khor Fakkan, AED 30 through fare, Sayer card or cash. The full route is covered in our Sharjah to Fujairah bus guide.

What is the E701 bus from Fujairah to Dibba?

It does not exist in SRTA’s published network. Some websites list an “E701” (Fujairah to Dibba) and an “E703” (Fujairah to Kalba) as SRTA routes, but SRTA’s east-coast services are numbered 116, 611 and 616, and no E701 appears in journey planners either. Do not plan a trip around it — use the 116 to Khor Fakkan and a taxi, or the FTC bus if confirmed running.

Can I take a bus from Dibba Al Fujairah to Dibba Al Baya in Oman?

No. Dibba Al Baya is in O’man’s Musandam governorate, across an international border, and no public bus crosses it. Entry to Musandam has its own rules — many UAE residents need a hotel or dhow-tour booking confirmed in advance — so arrange the Omani side through a tour operator or an Omani-side vehicle, not a bus.

Can I pay with a Nol card in Dibba?

No. Nothing in Dibba takes Nol — the local FTC buses and taxis are cash, and the SRTA 116 at Khor Fakkan takes Sayer card or cash. Your Nol card only becomes useful if your journey includes an RTA bus, such as the E700 from Fujairah city to Dubai.
