E315 Bus: Etisalat to Sharjah Muweilah — Timings & Stops
The e315 bus route is the direct intercity link between Etisalat Metro Station in Al Qusais, Dubai, and Al Muwailah Bus Terminal in Sharjah, near University City. It is an RTA Dubai intercity service — the “E” prefix is RTA’s intercity series — and it is the only Dubai bus that goes to Muweilah rather than to Sharjah’s Al Jubail station. That makes it the practical route for students, staff and residents heading to University City, Muweilah’s schools and the residential blocks around Maliha Road.
The run is short: four stops towards Sharjah, six towards Dubai, a flat AED 12 Nol fare, and buses every 30 minutes until 11:00pm. This guide covers the e315 bus timings both ways, every stop, payment rules and the Metro connection at Etisalat.

E315 Bus Stops
The e315 bus route does not stop at Al Qiyadah, Al Nahda or Sharjah’s industrial areas. After Etisalat it runs non-stop across the border, then serves two Sharjah stops before Muweilah. The return follows a short loop in Sharjah, hence its two extra stops.

The e315 bus schedule runs seven days a week. Monday to Saturday the service starts at the normal early-morning time in both directions. Sunday is the late-start day, with the first buses leaving around 10:00am — plan around that if you travel on a Sunday morning. Friday follows the normal weekday timetable; there is no reduced Friday service.

These e315 bus timings from Muweilah to Etisalat — a 5:10am first bus and a 10:05am Sunday start — are the detail most return commuters need, so save them if Muweilah is your home terminal. In the evening peak, allow extra time: the scheduled 38–40 minute trip can stretch considerably when the Sharjah–Dubai border roads are congested.

Fare and Payment: Nol Card Only
The E315 fare is AED 12 one way, the standard RTA fare for Dubai–Sharjah intercity routes. Payment is by Nol card only — tap in when you board and tap out when you leave. Cash is not accepted on RTA buses.
Do not confuse this with Sharjah’s own buses: the Sayer card is not accepted on this RTA service, and Nol is not valid on Sharjah SRTA city buses in return — you will need Sayer or cash for a local bus from Muweilah. Keep at least AED 12 loaded before boarding; you can top up at Etisalat Metro Station.
How to Ride the E315
- In Dubai: go to the bus station beside Etisalat Metro Station (Green Line terminus, Al Qusais) and find the E315 bay for Muweilah.
- Tap in with your Nol card as you board and take a seat — there are only two intermediate stops before Muweilah.
- Get down at Hala Building or Madina Shopping Centre if they suit you better, otherwise ride to Al Muwailah Bus Terminal, where Sharjah local buses and taxis connect to University City and Muweilah’s residential areas.
- Returning: board at Al Muwailah Bus Terminal — remember the return bus also calls at the two Maliha Road supermarket stops before heading to Etisalat.
- At Etisalat, tap out, then walk straight into the Metro station for the Green Line into Deira and Bur Dubai, changing to the Red Line at Union or BurJuman.
Tips for E315 Passengers
- Use the Metro connection: Etisalat is the Green Line terminus, so E315 plus Metro is usually the fastest cheap way from Muweilah to most of Dubai.
- Mind the Sunday start: no E315 leaves before 10:00am on Sundays in either direction. For an early Sunday trip, travel on Saturday night timings or use another route via Al Jubail.
- Beat the evening peak: buses every 30 minutes fill up at Muweilah in the late afternoon. Arriving at the terminal a few minutes early makes boarding much easier.
- Carry the right card: Nol for this bus, Sayer or cash for Sharjah local buses. Having only a Sayer card will leave you unable to board the E315.
- Check S’hail before you leave: RTA’s S’hail app shows live E315 departures, which matters most on the last bus at 11:00pm.
