E306 Bus Stops

The E306 uses the shared RTA intercity corridor out of Sharjah: from Al Jubail along King Faisal Road and Al Wahda Road, then via Al Safeer Mall and Ansar Mall on Ittihad Road, crossing into Dubai through Hamriya and past Dubai Hospital to Bur Dubai. There are 13 stops in the Sharjah to Dubai direction. Stop names on one-way sections in Deira can differ slightly by direction, so always check the destination shown on the front of the bus before boarding.

The E306 runs every day, including weekends and Fridays, about every 20 to 30 minutes through most of the day. Published timetables differ slightly between sources and by direction, so treat the table as the planned pattern and check the live departure board or the RTA S’hail app on the day you travel, especially for the last bus.

E306 Fare and Nol Card Payment

The E306 fare is around AED 10 to 12 for a one-way trip, depending on where you board and alight — a fraction of a Dubai–Sharjah taxi fare. Fares can change, and the exact amount deducted is the one shown on the Nol reader when you tap out, so keep a little extra balance on your card.

Payment is by Nol card only. Cash is not accepted on RTA intercity buses, and there is no ticket to buy from the driver. Tap on when you board and tap off when you get off; forgetting to tap out can cost you the maximum fare. A standard Silver Nol card is all most passengers need, and you can buy or top one up at Metro stations, at Al Ghubaiba and other bus stations, at Nol machines, and through the Nol Pay and RTA apps. Sharjah’s own local buses do not take Nol — they use the Sayer card or cash — but the E306 is an RTA Dubai service in both directions, so Nol applies throughout.

How to Ride the E306: Step by Step

  • Step 1 — Get your Nol card ready. Make sure it holds at least AED 15–20, enough for the fare plus any onward Metro or bus trip.
  • Step 2 — Reach your boarding stop. In Dubai, head to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station beside Al Ghubaiba Metro Station. In Sharjah, go to Al Jubail Bus Station, or use an Al Wahda Road or Ittihad Road stop.
  • Step 3 — Check the live time. Use the station departure board or the S’hail app, and confirm the bus’s destination blind reads Al Jubail or Al Ghubaiba — other Sharjah routes share the same stations.
  • Step 4 — Tap in. Tap your Nol card on the reader as you board, and keep it handy for the end of the trip.
  • Step 5 — Tap out and connect. Tap out as you leave. At Al Ghubaiba, follow the signs for the Metro; at Al Jubail, local bus bays and taxis are inside the same station complex.

Tips for Travelling on the E306

  • Avoid the rush hours if you can. Traffic towards Dubai is slowest roughly 6:30–9:30 AM, and towards Sharjah in the evening. A 55-minute trip can stretch to 1.5 hours, so allow extra time for work or appointments.
  • Travel mid-morning for a quieter bus. Late morning and early afternoon departures are usually the least crowded and the fastest.
  • Board at the terminus for a seat. The bus starts empty at Al Ghubaiba and Al Jubail; at peak times it can arrive at Ansar Mall or Al Wahda Road already full.
  • Keep your Nol balance topped up. You cannot pay cash if your card runs dry, and top-up points inside Sharjah are limited — top up in Dubai or in the app before you travel.
  • Pick the route for your part of Dubai. The E306 is best for Bur Dubai and the Green Line at Al Ghubaiba. For Union Square, Deira City Centre or Abu Hail, a sister route below may drop you closer.
